AZAM's landmark display of original paintings across London for the first time.
Altamarea Group
2023
AZAM had completed a commission of several artworks in 2013 for the acclaimed restaurant and hospitality group, Altamarea Group, based in New York City.
Ten years later, AZAM was commissioned to provide a new curation of art for their flagship and world renowned restaurant, Marea in New York.
Queen NFTs
2022
In 2022 AZAM partnered with the metaverse platform Virtua to launch Platinum Queen, a unique first collection of NFTs celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the British throne.
Saatchi Gallery
2019
AZAM’s largest and most comprehensive solo exhibition to date, hosted by the Saatchi Gallery in London, follows the artist’s pilgrimage to lake Saiful Malook, a secluded paradise near the mountains of Kashmir.
Phone Painting
2017
AZAM created a stunning new series of works titled PHONE PAINTING, taking first-generation iPhones from 2007 and transforming them into beguiling works of art.
Malala Yousafzai
2015
The portrait was officially commissioned by the Yousafzai family, and is permanently exhibited at University of Birmingham.
Chef Michael White Collaboration
2013-2014
In 2013/14 AZAM collaborated with a Michelin star chef Michael White on a commission of 25 art works for Costata, part of the Altamarea Group of restaurants in SoHo, New York.
Evolutionary Loop 517
2013
AZAM’s six metre bronze sculpture “Evolutionary Loop 517” was commissioned by the University of Aberdeen and is permanently displayed outside the Sir Duncan Rice Library. The work was a collaboration with the Danish library design architects, schmidt hammer lassen.
Athena
2012
At just over twelve metres high, Athena is the tallest bronze sculpture in the United Kingdom. Athena was made at the Zahra Modern Art Foundries, formerly Morris Singer, which has produced some of the world’s most famous monumental sculptures including the bronze lions in Trafalgar Square.
Neuro
2011
In 2010, AZAM collaborated with neuroscientists in San Francisco, USA from the pharmaceutical firm Elan plc (now Perrigo plc) to create a series of paintings using their latest MRI scans technology.
Antarctica
2010
In February 2010 AZAM conducted an artistic expedition to Antarctica, where he produced 13 large abstract oil paintings responding to different Antarctic landscapes, including ice lakes, ice caves, glaciers and ice deserts.
The Dance
2008
AZAM’s monumental bronze sculpture “The Dance” is permanently located on London’s South Bank.
Zero Gravity
2008
In July 2008 AZAM completed a project aboard a parabolic aircraft (Russian Space Agency, Star City, Moscow), where he painted two triptychs – Homage to Francis Bacon: Triptych I and homage to Francis Bacon: Triptych II while the aircraft created weightless conditions similar to those in space.
